The Department of Space Research is located at the Observatory of Saint Maur, 4 avenue de Neptune, Saint Maur des Fossés, France, about fifteen kilometers from the campus of Jussieu.

The Observatory offers several facilities, such as seismic vaults, laminar flow integration rooms, indispensable for the development of planetary and terrestrial space geophysic instruments. The technical teams of the Geoscope project and of the sea bottom observatory projects (cf. L.B.) also work on the site of Saint Maur : that increase synergy between the space, terrestrial and sea bottom projects.
